Dear Prayer Partners,

It seems like we just finished setting goals for our family and ministry for 2007; yet, in a few days, we’ll be celebrating the incarnation of our Lord! At the risk of sounding like our parents, the older we get, the faster time seems to fly!

Ministry Update: Our Lord has allowed us to meet or exceed

all the major goals and virtually all of the less critical goals we set for ourselves in January ’07. The most important goal to us was also the one the Lord allowed us to exceed. It was so big that it took an enormous team effort from across the country. People had to give of their time, prayers, and finances, but it paid off. You guessed it; we were able to distribute whole Bibles into every household in 9 villages! Our goal was 7, but our Lord allowed us to help Bro. Ronnie Starr in 9! Over 40 souls received Christ as their Savior, and many rededicated their lives to the Lord! Lives were changed for eternity, both by those who were ministered to and those who ministered.

Another goal our Lord graciously allowed us to meet was the publication of an Alaskan mission’s newsletter, The Judean Journal. Fourteen other missionaries send us their updates, and we compile it, add a few articles on the philosophy of missions, and mail it to every fundamental Baptist church in Alaska. It helps to inform and familiarize churches, mission boards, and missionaries of what our Lord is doing through other ministries in the state. Thank you Bible Baptist Church – Fairbanks for printing them! The quality is very good, which brings honor to our Lord.

Another big goal was met when we acquired, by the Grace of God, the Piper Navajo. This twin-engine aircraft has already made a big difference in the dependability, reliability, and safety of our ministry. It has been interesting to see how it has added credibility to our work in this state as well. This aircraft has allowed us to carry more souls and complete more flights. Yet, some flights are too expensive when only 1 or 2 needs to travel. Virtually every flight we made this summer, we could have carried more had the plane been larger!

Another unexpected goal that is being met, Lord willing by the end of the year, is the creation of means for the missionary in the bush to place an order online through our web site. It will enable us to make the purchase, box the order, and ship it by the most practical means. From the testimonies we are receiving, this is saving some missionaries $200-300 per month in handling fees from bush order stores! This is no small matter, with fuel prices continuing to climb. Mark and Wendy Winans are heading up this facet of Mission Air Care. Please pray for this couple as they endeavor to grow into this ministry and fashion this unique and challenging addition to MAC.

We’ve listed some of the goals we accomplished, simply to let you know how your prayers are being answered, and the difference your gifts make. At the beginning of 2007, the year ahead seemed impossible. Now at the end of the year, we are better prepared to face the challenges of 2008. When we hear your testimonies of what the Lord is doing in your lives, see the sacrifices you make to enable us to serve up here, and reflect on our precious Savior’s love towards us, our family gladly presses on.

Your prayers on our behalf mean more than you can imagine. Soon, we’ll be gaining daylight again, but the frigid temperatures are just beginning. Your extra gifts this time of year enable us to give gifts to others and remind us that we have many friends who pray for us across the country. Thank you! You are a blessing to our family. From the Malpass family to yours, Merry Christmas, and God bless you.

Co-laborers together,

Earl, Lynn, & Jeremiah Malpass

Church Planting

Manley Baptist Fellowship is a group of Believers who either live in, or within 40 miles of Manley Hot Springs, Alaska.  It is not unusual for folks to fly in, boat or 4-wheeler in (in the summer), snow machine in (in the winter), or just walk in for services on Sunday!

Without MAC five young men wouldn't have been saved

Your friendship and help over the years has been a real blessing. Without MAC (Mission Air Care) five young men wouldn't have been saved. These young men are still active in our ministry and helped all week with VBS.
